National Association of Christian Ministers Fellowship Policies and Terms

Purpose of These Policies

The purpose of these policies is to establish reasonable expectations that protect the interests of the National Association of Christian Ministers, LC (NACM), its members, and its Christian fellowship. These policies are intended to honor God, protect the membership, preserve the mission of the NACM, and maintain a fair and orderly environment.

These policies establish the ordinary standards governing the NACM Fellowship. They are intended to be applied with wisdom, fairness, Christian charity, and attention to the circumstances of each matter. When an unusual situation is not adequately addressed by the written policy, the Executive Elders may interpret or apply these standards in a manner consistent with Scripture, the NACM Statement of Faith, and the best interests of the fellowship.

Introduction

We are delighted to offer this fellowship to the Body of Christ. It is here that we seek to accomplish the unity of which Christ spoke in John 17:

“I have sent them into the world the same way you sent me into the world. I’m dedicating myself to this holy work I’m doing for them so that they, too, will use the truth to be holy. “I’m not praying only for them. I’m also praying for those who will believe in me through their message. I pray that all of these people continue to have unity in the way that you, Father, are in me and I am in you. I pray that they may be united with us so that the world will believe that you have sent me.” (Joh 17:18-21 GW).

Condition of the Church

The division of the Christian church into many denominations, traditions, and independent fellowships is not a new observation. These distinctions often reflect differences in history, culture, governance, practice, and biblical interpretation. Bringing the entire church into agreement on every theological question is unlikely before the return of Christ. Nevertheless, we believe Christians can pursue meaningful unity at the foot of the cross and through their shared affirmation of the risen Christ.

The Spirit and Culture of Our Fellowship

The spirit of this network is to offer members a place for prayer, encouragement, exchanging ideas, research, networking, ministerial training, and fellowship with one another.

The NACM is an interdenominational Christian fellowship whose members come from many denominational and independent Christian backgrounds. These backgrounds include Baptist, Pentecostal, Methodist, Lutheran, non-denominational, and other Christian traditions. The NACM does not require agreement on every secondary doctrinal question. However, a separatist or divisive attitude is not permitted within this fellowship. What makes the NACM unique is that we unite under the name of Jesus despite our differences on secondary matters.

Back to the Basics

All believers whom we consider Christian should be able to affirm that Jesus is the Son of God, the sacrifice for sins, our advocate with the Father, the risen Lord, and a full member of the Trinity. Christianity stands on this foundation. We may hold different beliefs regarding baptism, communion, worship practices, and other secondary matters. Nevertheless, we unite around the shared goal of advancing the Gospel of salvation that is available through the name and work of Jesus Christ alone. Our highest responsibility is to serve God and fulfill our calling to Christian ministry.

Statement of Faith

1. We hold all 66 books of the Bible as the only inspired word of God; acceptable and sacred Holy Scripture. We do not acknowledge the Apocrypha, Pseudepigrapha, Gnostic Gospels, Book of Mormon, or anything of the like to be divinely inspired.

2. The God of Christianity (Yahweh-Jesus-Holy Spirit) is the creator of all; thereby, omnipotent, omnipresent, imminent, immutable, omniscient, holy, impeccable, incorporate; infinite.

Values

The following values represent the essence and personality of the National Association of Christian Ministers. They are the standards by which our culture and unity are kept.

We value the Word of God as the highest authority by which to govern our lives.
We value the advancement of the Gospel of Christ for the perpetuation of Christianity (Matthew 28:18-20).
We value the pursuit of unity at the foot of the cross among brothers and sisters in the Christian faith (John 17:21; Ephesians 4:13).
We value God’s calling of both men and women to ordained Christian ministry (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:17; Galatians 3:28).
We value the independence of ministers to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in governing their individual ministries.
We value leadership that follows the servant example set by our Lord (Matthew 20:27; John 13:14).
We value fellowship among ministers for strength, encouragement, edification, prayer, and support (Romans 14:19; 1 Thessalonians 5:11; Ephesians 2:21-22; Philippians 4:8).

Organizational Communication

Our online platform serves as a central hub for organizational communication, networking, resource sharing, discussion, prayer, ministry support, training, and fellowship.

Because the NACM serves members across many locations, its primary methods of communication are its websites, member portals, email, support documentation, and online forms. Members are responsible for maintaining access to a working email address, keeping their contact information current, and making reasonable efforts to use the online systems required for participation.

We recognize that members have different levels of technical experience. Instructions and support resources are provided to help members navigate NACM services. However, the NACM cannot guarantee telephone or individualized assistance for every routine task. Members may be required to follow written instructions, use available password-recovery tools, or submit requests through the designated HelpDesk.

Our online communication methods allow members to receive announcements, participate in fellowship, access ministry resources, and connect with other ministers. Members are responsible for reviewing communications delivered through the NACM websites, portals, and email systems.

General Fellowship Guidelines

Individual Responsibility and Independent Ministry

NACM members and recognized ministers ordinarily act independently and are not employees, agents, partners, or authorized representatives of the NACM. The NACM is not responsible for their independent ministries, statements, agreements, services, financial activities, or conduct. Recognition, membership, ordination, licensing, or training does not authorize a person to bind the NACM or act on its behalf unless the NACM has provided express written authorization.

The NACM recognizes ordination for the spreading of the Gospel. Ministers may be asked to perform weddings, funerals, and similar services. Legal requirements differ by jurisdiction. Each minister is responsible for understanding and complying with the laws applicable to the minister’s activities.

Governmental treatment of ministerial credentials, training, tax status, and authority varies according to the agency, jurisdiction, purpose, and applicable law. The NACM does not claim governmental endorsement or guarantee that any particular agency, employer, institution, or jurisdiction will accept an NACM credential or course. Each member is responsible for determining the requirements that apply to the member’s intended activity.

Members remain accountable to NACM standards while they maintain recognized standing. Serious violations of traditional Christian ethics, including matters concerning marriage, sexuality, moral conduct, doctrinal integrity, harassment, fraud, misrepresentation, or unlawful conduct, may constitute grounds for disciplinary action.

A member who denies or repudiates the Christian faith affirmed in the Statement of Faith may lose NACM recognition of membership, ministerial standing, licensing, certification, appointment, or credential privileges.

Organizational Authority and Titles

NACM members must not represent themselves as agents, authorized representatives, or official spokespersons of the NACM unless formally appointed or authorized for that purpose.

Because the NACM is interdenominational, members may come from traditions that use titles such as Doctor, Pastor, Prophet, Apostle, Reverend, Bishop, or Chaplain. A member’s use of such a title does not mean that the NACM granted, verified, or endorsed it.

The NACM officially recognizes only the ministerial standing and organizational titles it expressly grants. No member may represent themselves as an Executive Elder, Elder, administrator, director, special minister, or other NACM official unless formally appointed or authorized by the NACM.

Expectations

Every member is responsible for knowing and following these standards. The policies of the NACM are interpreted and applied by the Executive Elders in accordance with the Statement of Faith and the Discipline, Suspension, and Revocation Authority contained in this policy.

These standards are not presented as civil law. They are standards of spiritual and organizational governance for a private Christian religious fellowship.

Participation and Contact Information

No member is required to participate actively in fellowship discussions. However, members must maintain valid contact information and respond to legitimate inquiries from authorized NACM leadership or administrators when necessary to maintain good standing.

Members should update relevant contact information within 15 days after a change.
Members must maintain a working email address, telephone number, and physical address when those details are required for membership or credential records.
If reasonable attempts to contact a member remain unanswered for 30 days, the member’s status may be reviewed, restricted, suspended, or changed to another appropriate designation.
A minister’s name may be removed from a verification system when required contact information is invalid or when the NACM no longer recognizes the person’s standing.

Because the NACM Fellowship account serves as the member’s primary organizational record and communication channel, permanently closing that account may affect the NACM’s ability to maintain the person’s membership and credential standing. Before completing a permanent account-deletion request, the NACM will explain the organizational consequences and, when reasonably practicable, ask the member to confirm that the request includes withdrawal from fellowship affiliation. Records that the NACM is required or reasonably entitled to retain may be preserved after account closure. Nothing in this provision limits the NACM’s independent authority to suspend or terminate an account or membership.

Official Positions and Personal Views

Statements posted by members represent the views of their respective authors and do not necessarily represent the official position of the NACM. Personal observations or opinions expressed by members of NACM leadership are not official organizational positions unless they are identified as an NACM policy, official announcement, formal decision, or authorized organizational statement.

The NACM Statement of Faith identifies the foundational doctrines required for membership. Members may hold different positions on secondary theological matters, but discussions of those differences must remain consistent with fellowship standards and must not be used to undermine the Statement of Faith or stir division.

Different Perspectives and Spiritual Gifts

Disagreements are permitted, but they must be expressed respectfully and with Christian love. Apply the Golden Rule to all online communication. Begin with a charitable interpretation of another member’s words unless the surrounding facts reasonably indicate otherwise.

Written online communication can easily be misunderstood because it lacks facial expression, tone of voice, and other context. Members should avoid assuming hostile intent, ask for clarification when appropriate, and respond with patience and Christian charity.

Christians hold differing views concerning the continuation, interpretation, and exercise of certain spiritual gifts, including personal prophecy. Members must not present a disputed personal revelation as binding upon another member or upon the NACM. Discussion of such gifts must remain respectful, orderly, consistent with the Statement of Faith, and sensitive to members who hold different theological convictions.

Member Conduct

Christian Criticism and Public Accusations

The NACM Fellowship must not be used to conduct public accusations, personal attacks, investigative campaigns, or organized criticism against Christian ministers, ministries, churches, or NACM members. This restriction does not prevent a member from reporting suspected misconduct through the designated NACM reporting process.

Reports concerning safety, abuse, fraud, harassment, or other serious misconduct should be submitted privately through the appropriate reporting channel rather than litigated in fellowship discussions.

Political Promotion and Partisan Activity

The NACM Fellowship must not be used to promote or oppose political parties, candidates, campaigns, or public officials. Members may hold personal political views, but partisan advocacy and politically divisive content distract from the fellowship’s religious mission and may be removed.

Solicitation of Donations

Members must not use the NACM network to request money, donations, materials, or financial support for themselves, another person, an organization, or a cause. This includes solicitation through posts, comments, profiles, groups, private messages, friend requests, contact-information requests, or indirect promotional activity.

The NACM exists to license, equip, and network ministers. It does not operate the fellowship as a fundraising network. Members in financial need should seek assistance through appropriate local churches, charities, or community resources.

Networking and Outside Solicitation

Solicitation includes using NACM membership, profiles, groups, discussions, directories, friend requests, private messages, or contact information to recruit people into an outside organization, redirect members to an external audience or platform, request money or material support, promote commercial services, build mailing lists, or repeatedly seek attention for an outside ministry without NACM authorization.

Ordinary friendship and voluntary ministry relationships are not prohibited. However, members must not use access gained through the NACM to pressure, recruit, advertise to, or repeatedly contact other members for purposes unrelated to the fellowship.

Accepting a friend request does not constitute consent to receive fundraising, recruitment, marketing, or solicitation messages. Members must not seek personal telephone numbers, email addresses, or other contact information for prohibited solicitation.

The NACM network must not be used to recruit members into external organizations or promote attendance at external events unless the activity is directly affiliated with or approved by the Executive Elders.

Acceptable Self-Promotion

Members may share an occasional announcement about an original book, recording, artwork, or similar project only in an area specifically designated by the NACM for that purpose. Such posts must not be repeated excessively, sent through unsolicited private messages, or used to redirect members into ongoing external promotion, fundraising, subscriptions, or recruitment.

The approved area for such announcements is the Member Publications Group. The NACM may remove promotional content that is disruptive, misleading, excessive, or inconsistent with its mission.

Photos, Graphics, and Illustrations

Images posted within the NACM network must be appropriate, edifying, and consistent with fellowship standards. The NACM may remove an image that is divisive, inappropriate, unlawful, infringing, unsafe, or contrary to its mission.

Images posted within the private fellowship remain subject to the member’s ownership and the limited operational permission described under “Your Content.” The NACM will not use a member’s private fellowship images in public promotional materials without permission. Images intentionally submitted for publication, event coverage, testimony, promotion, or another stated organizational purpose may be used for that purpose.

A person depicted in an image controlled by the NACM may request review of its continued use by contacting the HelpDesk and identifying the image and its location. The NACM will consider the original purpose, the person’s privacy and safety interests, organizational recordkeeping, prior permission, and any applicable legal obligations. This review does not guarantee removal in every circumstance.

Some forums or discussion areas may be designated as text-only areas in which images are prohibited.

Sexual Harassment

The NACM will not tolerate sexual harassment. Sexual harassment includes sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and verbal, visual, digital, or physical conduct of a sexual or offensive nature.

Sexual harassment constitutes serious misconduct regardless of whether the person responsible characterizes the conduct as humorous, harmless, welcome, or unintended. Reports will be evaluated according to the conduct, context, available evidence, and its effect on the fellowship and the people involved.

Substantiated violations may result in immediate removal of content, restricted access, suspension, or revocation of membership, recognized standing, and credential privileges.

To report suspected misconduct, use the NACM reporting process:

Confidentiality of Reports

Reports of misconduct will be handled as discreetly as reasonably practicable. The NACM cannot promise absolute confidentiality because information may need to be reviewed with the accused person, witnesses, authorized administrators, legal advisers, service providers, law enforcement, or other appropriate persons. Members must not knowingly submit false reports, retaliate against a person for making a good-faith report, or publicly distribute information obtained through a private review.

Private Religious Association and Selective Membership

The National Association of Christian Ministers, LC is a private Christian religious organization and expressive association. The NACM exists to advance its Statement of Faith, religious mission, ministerial standards, and understanding of Christian fellowship. Membership is selective and is not offered as a public entitlement.

No person has an automatic right to NACM membership, recognized ministerial standing, an NACM account, course enrollment, credentials, appointment, fellowship access, or continued participation in NACM services. Submission of an application, payment, prior participation, completion of training, or possession of an NACM credential does not guarantee acceptance or continued standing.

The NACM may consider an applicant’s or member’s affirmation of the Statement of Faith, Christian testimony, conduct, truthfulness, compatibility with the NACM mission, willingness to follow fellowship standards, and any other matter the NACM considers relevant to its religious and organizational discernment.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the NACM reserves the right to accept, decline, suspend, restrict, remove, or terminate any application, account, membership, course enrollment, credential privilege, appointment, access, or recognized standing. Such decisions may be made whenever the NACM determines, in its religious and organizational judgment, that the action serves its faith, mission, standards, membership, safety, unity, reputation, legal protection, or operational interests.

These decisions may be made by the Executive Elders or the Office Manager, acting individually or collectively within the authority assigned by the NACM. The Executive Elders retain ultimate authority over the NACM’s religious doctrine, ministerial recognition, and internal governance. The Office Manager may exercise operational authority over applications, accounts, access, services, member records, and membership administration, including suspension or removal when circumstances warrant.

The NACM may act with or without advance notice when immediate action is considered necessary. Unless the NACM expressly provides otherwise, no applicant or member is entitled to a hearing, formal investigation, detailed explanation, warning, probationary period, appeal, or opportunity to correct conduct before a decision is made. The NACM may nevertheless offer review, clarification, reconciliation, or restoration when its authorized leadership considers such action appropriate.

Decisions made under this authority are final within the NACM’s internal religious and organizational governance unless the Executive Elders choose to reconsider them. The NACM’s decision not to disclose confidential reports, internal deliberations, security information, evidence concerning another person, or privileged communications does not invalidate the decision. This provision does not prevent any person from exercising a right that cannot lawfully be waived.

Membership, accounts, course enrollments, credentials, and access privileges are personal, conditional, non-transferable, and revocable. They do not create ownership, employment, agency, partnership, tenure, vested rights, or a permanent contractual right to continued participation.

Removal, suspension, or termination does not automatically create a right to a refund. Any refund eligibility is governed by the applicable Refund Policy, payment terms, and circumstances of the transaction. The NACM may retain records reasonably necessary to document its decision, protect the organization and its members, administer credentials, prevent unauthorized re-registration, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable obligations.

Our Online Fellowship Is an Intranet

Definition: An intranet is a private network accessible only to an organization’s members. It is used to share organizational information and resources, facilitate internal communication and collaboration, and support the organization’s internal operations.

The NACM Fellowship is designed as a private, members-only network. Fellowship profiles, discussions, replies, and private communications are restricted from ordinary public access and are not intended for search-engine indexing. However, no online system can guarantee absolute confidentiality. Members must not copy, publish, or distribute another member’s private fellowship content without authorization.

NACM operates both publicly accessible websites and restricted services. Public websites provide general organizational, educational, credential, and ministry information. Restricted services, including the NACM Fellowship and certain course, account, administrative, and member areas, require authorization or login. A statement describing the Fellowship as private does not mean that every NACM website or webpage is private.

Christian Fellowship and Moderation

The NACM seeks to provide a distinctly Christian fellowship in which members may affirm and discuss the fundamental convictions of the Christian faith. Although the NACM cannot guarantee that every interaction will be free from disagreement or misconduct, it may moderate content and conduct that violates fellowship standards, threatens members, compromises privacy, or stirs unnecessary discord.

Members will not be disciplined merely for affirming the doctrines stated in the NACM Statement of Faith. However, religious language or claimed biblical conviction does not excuse harassment, personal attacks, threats, solicitation, partisan advocacy, public accusations, disclosure of private information, or other violations of fellowship standards.

Member Information, Content, and Privacy

Profile Data

When you register for the NACM Fellowship, you may be required to provide personal information for your account and member profile. Your name is required and is visible to other logged-in NACM members. Member profiles are not intended to be publicly accessible to people outside the fellowship or indexed by search engines. Other profile information may be required or optional, depending on how the NACM configures its membership system.

Members may update certain profile information and select who may view particular profile fields through the available privacy settings. Depending on the field, visibility may be limited to the member, connected members, logged-in NACM members, or NACM administrators. Certain administrative information, including contact details needed to maintain membership records, may be accessible only to the member and authorized NACM administrators.

Authorized administrators may review, correct, or remove profile information when reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain accurate records, protect members, enforce fellowship standards, or preserve the integrity and security of the fellowship.

Your Content

Members retain ownership of the original content they submit. By submitting content to an NACM service, a member grants the NACM a non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, format, and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, administer, and provide the service in which it was submitted.

This permission ends when the content is deleted, except where continued retention is reasonably necessary for backups, organizational records, enforcement, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or the protection of the NACM and its members.

The NACM will not use private messages, course assignments, private prayer requests, or other nonpublic member content for promotional purposes without permission. Content intentionally submitted for publication, promotion, testimony, or organizational use may be used for the purpose for which it was submitted.

Members must submit only content they have a right to use. Content must not infringe another person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights. The NACM may remove content at any time when it determines that removal serves the fellowship, protects another person, addresses a complaint, or reduces legal or security risk.

Private Messages

Private messages are ordinarily accessible only to their senders and intended recipients. Authorized NACM administrators may access, review, preserve, or remove message content when reasonably necessary to investigate a report, provide technical support, enforce fellowship standards, protect members, preserve evidence, comply with applicable law, or maintain the security and integrity of NACM services.

Members should not use private messages to transmit information that they cannot risk being disclosed during a legitimate administrative or legal review.

Authorized Administrators

An Authorized Administrator is an Executive Elder or another person authorized by the NACM to perform a specific administrative, technical, moderation, security, instructional, or support function. Authorization does not grant general authority to speak for the NACM or access information unrelated to the assigned function.

Information Disclosure and Service Providers

The NACM does not sell members’ personal information. We disclose personal information only when reasonably necessary to operate our organization and services, fulfill a member’s request, process payments or forms, protect the NACM and its members, comply with applicable law, or respond to valid legal process.

Information may be processed by service providers acting on our behalf, including providers of website hosting, email delivery, security, forms, payment processing, data storage, and related technical services. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services and are not authorized by the NACM to use it for their own unrelated purposes. The NACM currently uses Cognito Forms for certain forms and may use other providers as its services develop.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

NACM websites use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for account login, authentication, security, navigation, member preferences, forms, course participation, checkout, and other requested features. Some NACM services may also use limited analytics or performance technologies to understand site operation and improve reliability.

Certain service providers, including payment processors, form providers, security services, media providers, and other embedded services, may place or receive cookies when their features are used. The cookies used may vary among NACM websites according to the services available on each site. Additional information is provided in the NACM Privacy Policy or applicable cookie notice.

Information Retention

The NACM may retain membership, credential, disciplinary, transaction, course, support, security, and organizational records for as long as reasonably necessary to administer its services, document its actions, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the organization and its members, and comply with applicable obligations. Closing an account does not necessarily require deletion of records that the NACM has a legitimate organizational or legal reason to retain.

Information Security

The NACM uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information under its control. Nevertheless, no website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Members are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login credentials and for activity conducted through their accounts. Accounts, course enrollments, memberships, and credentials may not be shared, transferred, sold, or used by another person. Members must promptly notify the NACM if they reasonably suspect unauthorized access or misuse.

Discipline, Suspension, Removal, and Revocation Authority

The Executive Elders hold ultimate interpretive, doctrinal, and disciplinary authority within the NACM. The Office Manager holds the operational authority assigned by the NACM over applications, accounts, access, member records, services, and membership administration.

Where a provision states that conduct constitutes grounds for discipline, suspension, removal, or revocation, that language authorizes action but does not require an automatic result. The Executive Elders or Office Manager may consider the facts, context, seriousness, organizational risk, available evidence, and needs of the fellowship.

The NACM may remove posts, topics, conversations, replies, messages, profiles, files, or other content from any NACM platform when considered necessary to protect its unity, doctrine, mission, members, operations, reputation, or legal interests. Removal may occur with or without prior notice.

The NACM may suspend or revoke its recognition of a person’s membership, ministerial standing, license, certification, appointment, course enrollment, account, access, or credential privileges. The NACM does not claim to erase the historical fact that an ordination ceremony occurred. It may, however, withdraw all present and future NACM recognition and associated privileges.

When circumstances permit, the NACM may seek clarification, reconciliation, correction, or restoration. Nothing in this policy requires progressive discipline or prevents immediate action.

Termination

Access to NACM platforms, services, training resources, credential ordering privileges, and recognized standing may be denied, suspended, modified, or terminated by the Executive Elders or Office Manager in accordance with this policy.

Upon termination or revocation, the person’s right to use NACM member services, training materials, fellowship platforms, verification systems, and credential privileges ceases immediately unless the NACM states otherwise. The NACM may update its records and verification systems to reflect the person’s current standing.

Website and Service Terms

Definitions

NACM, Organization, we, us, or our means National Association of Christian Ministers, LC, 503 South Main Street, Mauldin, South Carolina 29662.
Governing Jurisdiction means the State of South Carolina, United States.
Services means the websites, fellowship platforms, membership functions, courses, workshops, applications, forms, credentials, verification systems, support functions, communications, and other ministry-related services owned or operated by the NACM.
Website means the websites, subdomains, online platforms, and related digital services owned or operated by the NACM, including nacministers.com, nacministers.org, nacministers.net, and their associated subdomains.
You or your means the person accessing or using an NACM Service.

Age and Member Eligibility

Public NACM information may be viewed by people of any age. However, NACM membership, member accounts, course enrollment, credential applications, purchases, and all other member-exclusive services are available only to individuals who are at least 18 years old. NACM courses are offered exclusively to NACM members. The NACM does not knowingly approve membership for, create accounts for, enroll, or provide member-exclusive services to individuals under 18.

Restrictions and Intellectual Property

Other than content owned by members or third parties, the NACM and its licensors retain all intellectual property rights in NACM materials and services.

Unless the NACM provides written permission or the use is otherwise permitted by applicable law, users may not reproduce, republish, sell, sublicense, commercially exploit, publicly distribute, or create derivative works from NACM-owned materials.

Members may make reasonable personal use of materials provided for their own ministry or course participation when that use is consistent with the stated purpose of the material. This permission does not authorize resale, public redistribution, removal of copyright notices, or representation of NACM materials as the member’s own work.

Users must not:

damage, disable, overburden, disrupt, or interfere with an NACM Service;
interfere with another person’s access or account;
attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, databases, files, or restricted areas;
use data mining, scraping, harvesting, extraction, automated collection, or similar methods without written authorization;
use NACM Services for unlawful activity, prohibited solicitation, unrelated advertising, or activity contrary to NACM standards;
share, sell, transfer, or permit another person to use an account, membership, course enrollment, or credential; or
misrepresent NACM content, credentials, affiliation, authorization, or organizational standing.

Contractors, Service Providers, and Transfers

The NACM may use contractors and service providers to perform operational functions and may transfer these Terms as part of a lawful organizational restructuring, merger, transfer of assets, or succession. A member may not transfer an account, membership, credential, course enrollment, or rights under these Terms to another person without written NACM authorization.

United States Legal Compliance

Participation in NACM Services is conditioned upon compliance with applicable United States law. Users must not use NACM Services in violation of a United States embargo, sanctions restriction, prohibited-party designation, or other applicable legal restriction.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Educational and Religious Information

NACM websites, training, information, and services are provided for Christian ministry, fellowship, educational, credential, and organizational purposes. Information concerning ministry, ordination, licensing, taxes, marriage laws, or governmental recognition is general educational and religious information. It is not legal, tax, financial, medical, or other professional advice.

Members remain responsible for verifying requirements with the appropriate governmental authority or qualified professional.

“AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”

NACM websites, training, information, and services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. The NACM does not warrant that every service will remain continuously available, operate without interruption, contain no errors, or satisfy every user’s particular purpose.

The NACM may change, suspend, replace, or discontinue a Service, benefit, feature, training program, credential option, or operating procedure when reasonably necessary. Nothing in this policy guarantees permanent availability of any particular benefit or Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the National Association of Christian Ministers, LC and its Executive Elders, officers, administrators, volunteers, contractors, service providers, and authorized representatives shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages arising from or related to the use of, or inability to use, NACM Services.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of the NACM arising from or related to a paid Service shall not exceed the amount the claimant paid directly to the NACM for that specific Service during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. For a Service provided without charge, the NACM shall have no monetary liability except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions or limitations. In those jurisdictions, the exclusions and limitations apply to the greatest extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless the NACM and its authorized representatives from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, costs, and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful conduct, infringement of another person’s rights, misuse of NACM Services, content you submit, or material breach of these Terms.

General Legal Terms

Entire Agreement and Additional Policies

These Terms, together with the NACM Privacy Policy and any additional policies, disclosures, application terms, course requirements, payment terms, or service-specific conditions presented to you, constitute the agreement governing the applicable NACM Service. If a service-specific provision conflicts with a general provision, the service-specific provision controls for that Service unless the NACM expressly states otherwise.

Privacy Policy

Use of NACM Services is also subject to the NACM Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy explains the categories of information collected, how that information is used and disclosed, available privacy choices, data retention, security practices, and how to contact the NACM concerning personal information.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be interpreted or limited to accomplish its intended purpose to the fullest extent permitted by law. The remaining provisions shall remain in effect.

Waiver

Failure by the NACM to enforce a provision does not waive its right to enforce that provision or another provision later. A waiver of one breach is not a waiver of a later breach.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. To the extent permitted by applicable law, any legal action arising from these Terms or NACM Services shall be brought in a state or federal court having jurisdiction over Greenville County, South Carolina, and the parties consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

Translation Interpretation

These Terms may be translated for convenience. If a translated version conflicts with the original English version, the English version controls. Official communication concerning these Terms will be conducted in English.

Changes to Policies and Services

The NACM may amend its policies, Services, benefits, training, or operating procedures when reasonably necessary. Changes take effect when formally adopted or on a later date stated by the NACM.

When a change materially affects members’ rights, responsibilities, privacy, payments, or access to an active Service, the NACM will make reasonable efforts to provide notice through the applicable website, account, or email address.

Revised policies apply from their stated effective date. Continued use of an NACM Service after reasonable notice of a material revision constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by applicable law. If a member does not accept a revision, the member must discontinue the affected Service and may contact the NACM concerning account closure or any available alternatives.

Acknowledgment

By applying for membership, creating an account, enrolling in a course, purchasing a Service, or using an NACM Service, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the policies and terms applicable to that Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the affected Service.

Participation in this fellowship is voluntary and undertaken in good faith for the advancement of Christian unity and the proclamation of the Gospel.
