About You?

I surrendered my life to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ during my 30’s while chaperoning a youth group outing at a Teen Mania event. Since that day I have spent my redeemed life in Christ’s service, bringing His hope, peace, joy and love to those the Lord has put on my path to steward. I have actively sought out the “invisible” both in my community and in countries abroad to bring the Lord’s hope, love and life. The communities include those within genocide villages, within UN occupation areas, within Doctors without Borders camps, along with countless schools and universities abroad. All have been the callings of the Spirit on my service to the Lord. The Holy Spirit has fully led me to serve the Body of Christ. Giving all the Lord has poured into my life to others in need, seeing them grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ is overwhelming and humbling.
I have a heart to help those of all ages in their walk with Christ to achieve a maturing relationship with Him through the power of the Holy Spirit, just as Jesus and Paul give example of within the Word. My soul cries out for those struggling in all areas of life: those captured in slavery, the homeless, the abused, the confused, the broken, the sick and the lost. All are in my heart’s focus of service in Christ. Such tend to be invisible to most within the wall of the church building, but we (each one of us) as the living church must not be blind. We must be all that the Lord is to all of these. A missional life is beyond caring for only those we sit next to in church, our souls must also long to bring hope, joy, peace and love to the invisible and the not-yet-saved if we are truly to be the image of Christ! This is my soul’s cry!
I have a beautiful wife who is my priceless best friend and partner within the walk the Lord has led us on for the past 36 years. She has stood by my side and encouraged me at every step of our lives together, whether steps amid the worst or the best of life. Her prayers and those of our two children fueled my missionary journeys in Rwanda, Burundi, D.R. of Congo, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela. The Holy Spirit and my family gave me strength in my late life calling to higher education, an M.A.R. in Evangelism and Church Planting, an M.Div. in Missional Studies and now amid my dissertation and defense to finalize my Doctor of Ministry in Discipleship, all through Liberty University Seminary. So many blessings, none of which this scarred and fallen man deserves.
