There are young men who know not what a real man, father and friend is. We have all be taught to be providers and fixers but often have missed the love and nurture of fatherly love. Not because it was not there but because it was not known how to show it and keep that masculine bravado that the world tells us we must present to be real men. We have been told and gathered that we have to prove ourselves in all that we do to get the respect we desire. Two things I want to share. The first step is simple let your brother know you care. Not the casual how you doing but invite them out for an activity, breakfast or lunch and really connect. A hug goes a long way hug them and tell them you love them. Second respect is earned not forced. Live a life that is pleasing to God obeying his Word and respect will follow. For then you are doing your works to please God and not man.
