Rev. Kelmy Rodriquez as a child was born and raised in Spanish Harlem, New York. He has seen the short term and long term effects of poverty, social disadvantage, domestic violence, gang activity, drug dependency, illiteracy, and bullying in our community. He has endured and triumphed over years of personal hardships and tribulations such as addiction, social deviance, sexual abuse and the murders of his mother, his fiance, and daughter from gun violence.

Kelmy is the founder of the Fellowship Corner, a Christian based organization that strives to bring the Church of Christ to the homes of Christians that are not able to attend a traditional church setting due to disabilities & geriatric status. He was appointed to the position of New York City Elder for the National Association of Christian Ministers in late 2017. This appointment was a historical moment in its kind being the first appointed Elder in New York City. The N.A.C.M. is a nondenominational association of Professional Christian Ministers committed to advance the Kingdom of God by effectively equipping & encouraging those answering a call to ministry through ordination, licensing, mentoring, practical ministry-skills training, mutually edifying fellowship, and conferring church charters.
He has continuously advocated for the creation of Anti-Bullying programs for our Children and Senior Citizens, Affordable Housing, Improved NYCHA living conditions, Section 3 Implementation, Job Development programs, working relationships between City agencies and Community Leaders, Drug Dependency programs along with Community Health programs and an end to the Jim Crow Drug Laws.
He is a father of 4 children and has a Doctorate in Systematic Theology with a minor in Christian Counseling. He is currently pursuing his second Doctorate in Divinitatis. He has been a news contributor regarding Community Policing, Public Health and Safety matters on various news networks such as CNN, WPIX 11, FOX 5, NBC 4, 1010 WINS & Channel 7 Eyewitness News gaining national and international exposure.
He is a recipient of a New York State Assembly Citation for Exceptional Community Service, a New York State Senate Recognition Award for Public Service, a Humanitarian Award for Societal Contributions, a Special Congressional Recognition for Community Affairs and multiple Live Save Commendations from the New York City Fire Department.
He is currently in the process of publishing his first book this year, “Axioms of An Urban Minister”, “An ongoing journey of Revelations.” His second book, “From the Gutter to GOD” is expected to be released in 2021.
